“that’s a hard name to say.”
so try harder.
I was Tonya at one point.
Toddy, because of their phonetics.
I loved my first name, a namesake that everyone had, and hated the one that made me different. I grew up, with a name unlike anyone else around me, and I couldn’t recognize how special that was.
I didn’t know how to appreciate the care that goes into a difficult name–the time it takes to say it.
Today, I love my difficult name–it makes you think, before you call me.
